There are three commonly used silica sand dryers, namely, triple pass cylinder dryer, rotary drum dryer and fluidized bed dryer. The triple pass cylinder dryer is mainly for the drying of coarser silica sand, is an efficient and energy-saving dryer, with compact structure, small footprint, low cost and other advantages. Rotary drum dryer can adapt to higher temperature drying, silica sand can stay in the dryer for a longer time, which can achieve the dual role of drying and removing organic impurities, so it is suitable for high purity quartz sand drying. Fluidized bed dryer is an indirect heating dryer, which uses hot steam to heat silica sand to avoid direct contact between fuel and silica sand, so the possible contamination of silica sand is avoided. According to different types of silica sand, the appropriate silica sand dryer can be chose, so that the best technical and economic indicators of silica sand drying can be obtained.
